After graduating from the University of Madras, Mr Manu Mathew trained at leading teaching hospitals across the United Kingdom, including the Queen’s Medical Centre at the University of Nottingham and the Tennent Institute in Glasgow. He served as a clinical lecturer and specialist physician at the University of Nottingham.
At Chesterfield NHS Foundation Trust, Mr Mathew worked as a consultant, focusing on glaucoma, corneal, and external eye conditions. He also mentored junior doctors in his role as a specialty tutor.
Mr Mathew actively contributes to ophthalmic research. He presents his findings at professional conferences and publishes articles in peer-reviewed journals.
